Review:

She Drives Me Crazy by Kelly Quindlen now this is a realistic fiction book chock full of my favorite tropes we got the enemies to lovers trope we have the fake dating trope um it is uh a delightful read um and I say that about so many books 

what can I say I gravitate towards delightful reads um so we have the two characters we have Scotty and we have irene and Scotty pays off irene to be her girlfriend um in order to make Scotty's ex-girlfriend jealous. 

they kind of have a history of being enemies um there have been some misunderstandings some bullying and just different incidences throughout their high school career that have um really given each other 

the wrong impression of the other girl um but they get to know each other through their fake dating scheme and they find out that you know they have a little bit more in common than they thought um i love this book uh, particularly because 

something that I found super duper refreshing was that both of their parents so both Scottie and irene's parents are like super duper into the idea of them dating each other 

there wasn't any you know hesitation or fear about like coming out to their families um they were both out they were both proud they were both completely accepted by their families

so when they start dating um there is nothing but enthusiasm from both uh from both of their families which I thought was very sweet and very cute um other things that I love about this is that you see this beautiful 

I don't know a beautiful meshing of friend groups um you know Scotty's friends become friends with irene's friends become friends with Scotty's friends it's really cute 

it's really sweet um which I love I love love love it um read it for pride month but also read it around Christmas time um everything is culminating in this giant um basketball game that happens right around Christmas 

so it definitely gave me some like a little bit of Christmas spirit even though it's June  super delightful
