Quantum cat is a metaphor for a person who is both a part of him and separate from him at the same time. The concept originates from quantum physics, the theory of the physics of the very small. For example, in quantum theory, light is a wave and a particle. Since electrons are very small, they are described as quantum particles.
The word quantum comes from the latin word 'cognition,' which means understanding. When referring to science, 'cat' also refers to a decision or action taken suddenly without thinking. Therefore, quantum cat is a novel that explores the quantum world through its characters and storyline.
In his novel, Sarvesh uses the metaphor of a quantum cat to describe his protagonist, Arvind. A cat is also a mystic creature that can be both brave and scared at the same time.
Similarly, Arvind is both brave and cowardly at different times- like a cat. Additionally, cat has nine lives since it can survive many deadly situations without losing its confidence. Therefore, Arvind is both brave and cowardly at different times since he experiences traumatic events throughout the novel.
The multiple viewpoints allow readers to learn more about Arvind's personality and background. In addition to first-person narrative, this novel has three additional perspectives: Arvind's mother, brother and teacher.
These viewpoints help the reader understand Arvind better through his relationships with other people. Each character gives a different view of his childhood for the reader to understand his backstory better.
For example, his brother views him as cruel and cold-hearted as an adult because he grew up in an abusive home environment. In addition to life experience, each character had different childhood experiences that shaped their personalities as adults.
Sarvesh uses physics to create an interesting plot and setting for his novel. For example, quantum theory explains that when light travels at very high speeds, it can become a wave or a particle. When something very small occurs, it shapes the future by influencing our decisions.
That is why scientists call these miniscule actions or cognitions - or cats - in reference to science. In addition to describing how light behaves as a wave or particle, this theory also describes how particles behave like waves.
When something very small occurs in space - such as an explosion - it creates something known as a wave collapse or wave motion chaos. Hence, this theory allows for an inspired setting where light becomes something chaotic and dangerous since it can influence our decisions as adults as well as children in childhood homeshipshipshipship environments.
Quantum cat is an exploration of how our actions shaped our pasts and futures in terms of abuse and mental disorders. By exploring this concept through several viewpoints, Sarvesh creates an interesting novel where each character learns how someone influenced his future by influencing his past decisions.
Because physics inspired this setting for his novel, he uses this knowledge creatively to create an interesting plot and cast of characters for his readership.
