Book Review

Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren so this book i have seen absolutely everywhere like i couldn't open either tick tock instagram or youtube without seeing this book somewhere and then i was shopping and i went to barnes noble and i was with my sister-in-law and i was like i'm getting

this book now because it is haunting me and i really want to read it so i got the book and this was probably the book that i most annotated with reminders of him by colleen hoover and i really really wrote into

this book and like there are like literally notes written in this book because this was a intense read so if you don't know what

this book is about it basically follows macy and macy loses her mom when she's really really young i think she's like 10. and so her dad decides to buy a like weekend house for him and her, so they can kind of escape the bustle of the city where they live it and the neighbor or the house next door to their weekend house belongs to elliot's parents and elliot, is

this boy that's really into books and that's just really cute and basically he's the same age as her and they meet when she's looking at the house and he's just hiding in

her closet and he uses her closet to kind of read because he has a lot of brothers and he just kind of tries to escape and that's how they basically meet and then mace is really into reading elliot's really into reading and her dad's really into reading so her dad really helps her build like a little library in that walk-in closet where she first met elliot now

this book is told out of duel out of like time jump perspectives if that makes sense so we have chapters when they are younger so i think they're 11 and then up to like 15 16 17 where they like first meet and it's like about them like meeting each other and you know going through like lots of important like development stages together and then you have the chapters out of the now where

i think they're like n20 so like around 28 29 and they no longer speak and something happened in the past that forced them apart and that forced them to kind of like hate each other but not really so i went in to

this book thinking it's like enemies to lovers it really was not it was like childhood friends that got hurt so bad by an incident that they like just couldn't deal with like looking at the other person

this is like a love story that was really really powerful like i don't know if it was because i really connected to the female lead in this book and i just thought like she did a lot of things where i was like yeah i could it would probably be me i guess um and so i really connected with the female character and the male character was just so cute

this is like this is where we're lit like reading like really just like f's you up because i read so many books and all the books are written by female writers or like a lot of them and so all the men i read about are written by females and so like no man i'm ever gonna meet is gonna reach the standard because no man is written by a female in real life does that make sense did that make sense i don't know but basically elliot is

this unbelievably considerate sweet kind human being and also like very very perceptive and you basically watch them fall in love as kids and kind of like figure out what love is and then you see them in the now where they like don't speak like makes it can't even be in the same room as elliot without like just feeling immense pain and you basically find out what happened and it kind of goes from there

this is such a nice book i was like low when i say low impact it was like i read a lot of books where like this person dies and then this happens and then someone rubs a bank and like there's constantly something happening

this book was like very slow and like a lot of focus was on like the character development and the feelings and like just kind of the writing was absolutely beautiful and i highly if you haven't read

this book yet i highly recommend it if you have read this book tell me all your thoughts in the comments down below i want to know if you also loved macy as much as i did what your thoughts were on elliott would you have forgiven elliott i want to know it all so leave that down below in a comment and if you decide to.
