Book Review:

College is a time of exploration and making new friends. However, many students find their college years are somewhat difficult due to academic stress or social issues. One difficulty that many students face is finding a roommate.

Choosing a roommate can help reduce your problems, but finding the wrong one may make your college experience miserable.

A person's chances of meeting a loved one at college are heightened if he or golds a roommate. Your roommate is a good gauge of how you'll fair in college since you'll have someone to spend your time with and share your experiences with.

In this way, your college days will be much more enriching and fun with someone you know and enjoy spending time with.

Finding a suitable roommate is difficult since it's in your best interest to find a fit right off the bat. You'll want someone who's similar to you in age, interests, personality and social circle.

You should also look for someone who lives close by and has similar needs when it comes to space and cleaning supplies.

Ideally, you can get to know several people before selecting a roommate. You can speak with each potential roommate by phone before meeting in person to avoid any awkwardness during the interview process.

You may encounter some minor annoyances due to living with someone else- particularly if the two of you have different sleep patterns or personal hygiene preferences. However, the positives far outweigh the negatives.

A good roommate is likely to be honest and forthcoming about his or her habits, which can be helpful when making important decisions such as choosing classes or choosing an apartment complex for late-night committee meetings.

Living with a good roommate also provides moral support when studying or dealing with academic problems, which is helpful both privately and publicly.

Choosing a good roommate can vastly improve both your social life and your academic performance in college.

Since roommates are chosen early on in college life, you'll have plenty of time to find someone compatible before moving in together for the semester or year.

Finding the right roommate is also much easier than many people believe- just be willing to take time and make sure the two of you are a good match first!
