The vanishing go by Laura Thalassa, I was really surprised with this book I really liked the premise
It's about a group of teenagers or a group of sort 18 year old's and they have been genetically created from birth to have special abilities
However these abilities don't kick into puberty and a lot of the children don't know about them the parents know
they're part of a special scheme they're often parents you haven't been able to get pregnant and so the government has offered them to have
This sort of special IVF type treatment in order to have children and then it becomes aware that
they have these special abilities at puberty and they are promised the parents have to promise that when they reach a certain age the children will will work for the government for two years
that is the price of having a child through this particular program these children that can teleport so they can move from one place to another but only for
10 minutes and only just as they go to sleep or as they're asleep so they often hit puberty and they fall asleep and
they're thinking of something or someone and they end up in that person's house or room or that place and but only for 10 minutes and then
they go back so the government are using these children to send out on missions and we are learning a little bit more about main character teller who is taken into the facility
she's a little bit older she's managed to hide her and her parents have tried to help her hide it she's taken to the facility and she starts her training that's
where she meets a lot of the other teleporters she meets a boy and they do training and you find out loads more about the story and I don't want to go too much more into
it because I don't want to spoil it if you decide to pick it up the romance in this book was very much
the same and online with a lot of books of this type it was fast they found each other quickly the relationship developed a very quickly
but the story was quick and the story was action packed and I didn't mind it too much
I'm not sure who this is marketed at but I would definitely say it's sort of a sci-fi book
but I would probably say new adult or the higher end of why if that is how it's marketed for because there are some sex scenes in there and it does get a little bit for Chi in fact
I thought it was quite steamy at parts but you know that's just me me me yeah I haven't read very many good steamy sex scenes in books
but I enjoyed it nothing there helped with the story for me I was just really pleasantly surprised with this book and I would definitely recommend it
if you like these types of books you know they've got special abilities you're not sure who the good and the bad guys are they're set to do things self-discovery relationships little bit of romance
in there and yeah it was really good I really enjoyed it and like they've left it on a cliffhanger
so I need to read the next one when it comes out this is already out I believe it came out last year and I think the next one the second in series might come out in the autumn of this year 2015
so I will definitely be picking that up and i gave this one four stars so that was my review of the vanishing girls by Laura thalassa and if you decide to pick it up and let me know let me know if you've read it in the comments below.
