Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman so it's a little bit kind of on the little crazy foolish side of a book but it is one of the books that have a story format and they and teaching at the same time
so it becomes very very interesting so I like this kind of book there's a few of these that if you like this jawn rrah of kind of self-help book it's it's kind of stuff called whoo-whoo-whoo
but I like that when it's told in a story format a couple of them that I've been similar to this is The Richest Man in Babylon he checks that one out that's the same kind of format It's like a story
it teaches you some wisdom wisdom through storytelling another one that I really liked is Paul Coe he knows Paul Cohill oh I don't know how to pronounce his name but the book is called The Alchemist that was a fantastic read guys I don't feel like
I need to read that sucker again and then another one that maybe isn't so popular but I thought it was good it's called three feet from Gold and it's a book about a book it's a storybook about
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill it's a good gateway drug into that if you don't understand the power of things and Grow Rich you know that that can help you
but I'm gonna talk about any of those books today right I'm supposed to be talking about the way the peaceful warrior so what does this book about
so this book basically follows the path of the story of a gymnast who was basically like the world-class and trampoline event and him going from college and going through life and sort of learning things and figured things out he meets this man at a gas station
he nicknamed him Socrates and this dude just like starts turning his world upside down giving him all this wisdom and like and he's fighting it and you're existing in and trying to figure out what is the meaning of life and why am I doing all this thing
he's going through turmoil and trouble in his life and really learning how to become what Socrates calls a warrior the peaceful warrior and what is all this I think it's probably Buddhism right it's kind of a Buddhist type of mentality
but don't just throw this out if you're like oh Buddhist crap okay there's a lot of value in this so I felt like the book had some really good teachings whether you know
buy into the religious aspect of it or not but just a lot of really good wisdom that's in there so through the story mechanism it's a really good story
I think as well the end I'm not gonna give it away but it's an interesting twist it it got to me I said huh that that's nice that's nice so anyway I liked it I thought it was a good it kept me entertained
I felt like I got some meaning out of it you know not maybe not as much depth as some other things that I've read but I think that there's there's a lot of value and
I would recommend it I think that you could probably get some serious value out of this and just a different way to look at your life and there are some really good moments in the book
where he reflects on the future but he kind of sees his life flash before his eyes and sees the future and sees how things might unravel if he keeps going down this path
I think that's valuable to like to look at your life in that way and so yeah I think that you can get some value out of it I felt just as someone who's trying to develop their mental toughness and they're strengthened and you know the ability to to to detach and be self-reliant that this is a book that that sort of helps you to understand the value of that and to really embrace that ideal
so I recommend it you can check it out the way of the Peaceful Warrior and like I said if you like these book reviews let me know I'm gonna do this whether you like it or not because I want to capture you know the books.
