Book review:
See You Yesterday by Rachel Lynn Solomon this is the first book that I've read by this author it was the book that was assigned to my book club for the month so I read it and just loved it it follows the main character Barrett
she is a freshman in college and she wakes up on the first day of classes and has a series of Misadventures she finds out that somebody she didn't really get along with in high school is assigned to be her roommate she gets embarrassed by a kid in her physics class
In the end of the evening she ends up lighting a frat house on fire at a party and so she's totally embarrassed by this day that she's had she goes back to her dorm goes to sleep and wakes up on the same day
So what Barrett soon discovers is that she is in a Time Loop and she is trapped reliving the same day over and over and over again and what she further learns is that the boy who embarrassed her in her physics class whose name is miles is also trapped in a Time Loop and has been trapped in the time Loop much longer than she has
so at the time that she figures out that she's in some sort of time loop it's been a couple of days and for him it's been almost two months that he's been stuck on the same day September 21st and the book follows them trying to figure out how to get unstuck and also trying to figure out
how to make the most of reliving this one day over and over and over and over again and so it goes through their different attempts to figure out how to get unstuck and all the different fun things that they decide to do
with their day like turn a pool on campus an abandoned pool into a giant ball pit bringing an ice cream truck on campus giving out free ice cream and so it's just it follows their paths through these different days that are the same day for them and through
this they learn different things about each other and about some of the characters in their lives so for instance Barrett learns a lot more about this person that she went to high school with that has been assigned
as her roommate she learns more about herself more about miles and his backstory and there is a level of romance between the two of them and there is also a lot going on with Barrett so as a trigger warning Barrett had
Interaction during her last year of high school that ended up being the butt of a huge joke for the entire school so that's disgust and it was just really really enjoyable there was so much packed into it
it's a pretty long book it's over 400 Pages um but it just I breezed right through it it was very fun to read I love time travel so if you like the plots that deal with time travel or alternate universes or different ways of looking at time.
