hi everyone its Rajeev and welcome to my channel Raja's reviews in this video I am going to review an Indian fiction romantic thriller novel called forever is a lie by Nava Neil Chakravarthy

here's a brief synopsis of the book so the story talks about pressure she was self who is a college student doing mass communications in Bangalore and she is having difficulties over the recent breakup and she needs this mysterious person who is almost twice for age called as me monster in the party circuit

so Tricia gets intrigued by him and soon falls for him and pursues him as well however there is one thing that she does not know about me monster and it's that whoever he loves dies

so this is the first book of the forever series which is actually a duology of two books by the author I honestly was very disappointed by this book

one of my favorite authors growing up or Sidney Sheldon and this author is considered as the Sidney Sheldon of India because of his supposedly strong female protagonists and plotters

this is the first book that I'm reading by novoneel and sorry to say that he does not even capture even a small amount of the magic that a silly Sheldon had

firstly the main protagonist Trisha is very irritating and I could not stand her for the most part I really don't think that any average 18 year old Indian girl would act as moody and immature and crazy as she does

halfway into the book I was just rolling my eyes on reading the ridiculous things that she did to get the guy's attention

she is clearly infatuated by this guy severe and she schemes she stalks and she acts like a complete at times in trying to get his attention even the supporting characters like her friends Gowdy and zinnia are much more interesting than she is

secondly the southern mutual love between Sabine and Tricia was just lost on me for the first half of the book he ignores her and avoids her because he knows that she has a crush on him which actually sounds believable

but somewhere in the middle in a span of two pages he suddenly falls in love with her what this reminds just came out of nowhere and I really could not believe any of it

thirdly and this is the most important reason is that this is supposed to be a thriller novel but there was no assurance in it it's around 200 pages and 150 of the pages is just mushy romance which is not even when written

but I don't want to be too negative about it because there are a few things about this book that I did like I did enjoy Sophia's character and I really thought his angst was written well from losing all his loved ones

but again this goes downhill when he suddenly falls in love with Tricia and becomes all smitten over her

also the book does pick up in the last fifty or so pages when the mystery and the suspense and lens do pick up in the plot but again this is a little too late and it just feels like a tease for what the next book in the series has to offer

however I do feel like the second book will be much better than the first book because the suspense has been sent in the plot

I do feel like no vanilla is a good author because his style of writing is very fluid and easy the only problem is he needs to balance the theme in his plot

if you are a romance thriller slash suspense novelist you need to have all these elements equally balanced in a book and not just focus on the romance part of it

so overall I was very disappointed with this book and I really did not care for it that much so I am giving it a rating of 2 out of 5 stars

I hope that the following book forever is true is better than the CDs unfortunately I have already picked on both the books - Heath so I will be reading and reviewing the next book as well
