I probably have enough books to do a few videos for this series but today we're just going to be talking about this book right here I'm not a huge book expert like I don't know the right terminology for a lot of things and I don't really know a lot about the book world and how most book

Readers would communicate in terms of book reviews but I'm just going to talk about what I thought about the book in my point of view what I expected when I read the description of the book and how I felt at the end of it so let's get right into it okay so the first thing I immediately thought

When I was gonna get this book was the characters I usually go based on a few things when buying a book I know it's quite not how you're supposed to buy books but

I like to kind of just see what the characters are like so in this book I felt honestly like the characters were really touching home for me the main boy in this story josh is korean and the main girl in the story hazel is an elementary school teacher and that is what

I'm trying to do I'm currently in school to be an elementary school teacher so I felt like this book really honestly hit a part of me that I could relate to on some level so that was part of the reason why I bought it I also bought

It because christina lauren is a good author I have another book by christina lauren I believe it was the unhoneymooters so I also have that book and I read that one and I really enjoyed that one

So I thought I would enjoy this one as well lately I've been really into books that have asian leads in them so this one of course does have an asian lead and that was also why I decided to get this book as well so those are three reasons why I decided to get this book in particular

So when I read the description of the book it seemed very cute to me it was a very friends to lovers kind of book the description of the book was very somewhat similar to what happened in the actual book

I will say that parts of it happened quite slowly and there was a very dramatic end I did not expect this ending at all from this book it was quite sudden actually as well so when I did read it I was quite shocked but

I did like the end it was really sentimental it was just a very sudden unexpected ending it was not quite what I thought it was gonna be it was a little bit different from what I expected but it was still a good read

I did end up reading it in one day it's a good book for people who can't really stay focused for that long because every so often they'll give you a part that is like this where it's like text blurbs so if you can't stay focused for that long every so often there'll be a text blurb and then that will hopefully distract you from the fact that you're actually reading

I personally would not recommend this book to someone for the first time this is not a book that I would introduce someone to if I want them to get into contemporary romance or adult romance or any kind of romance with young adults the book was not a catcher

If I was to introduce someone to a contemporary romance book it probably wouldn't be with this one just because I feel like people would get a little bit bored from it per se and maybe kind of stray away from this genre as

I kept on reading I would probably recommend them either like the kiss quotient the spanish love deception or a book that is more fast-paced because it keeps people more intrigued this book did not really keep me that intrigued I only finished it because I have this weird ocd where I have to finish something some people might not finish it and that would kind of suck

So if I was to recommend someone with this book it'd probably be after they've read a bunch of contemporary romance books already so they kind of know the idea of contemporary romance and then they would follow pursuit into this book basically to conclude this book was a great read but it's not my favorite book I've ever read

I probably would not read this book again personally at least for a while or if I was kind of desperate to read a book but other than that I recommend you get this book if you enjoy christina lauren and you enjoy books that have witty characters in it.
