Book Review:

I am a big fan of books about gardening and I have read many over the years. I enjoy reading about different types of gardens and how they work together to create beautiful landscapes. When I was given the opportunity to read Sun Crossed By Elizabeth Briggs I jumped at the chance.

This book is about the author’s experience growing her own garden and how she uses the sun to help grow her vegetables. She explains how the sun affects our lives and helps us understand its importance to everything around us.

The first chapter starts out with the history of the sun and what it means to people throughout time. The author goes on to explain how the sun affects our daily lives and how we use it in our homes, cars, and even our food.

She talks about how the sun is responsible for much of the food we eat today and how it has been used to help produce crops since ancient times. She explains how the earth receives sunlight and how it travels across the sky before reaching the ground. She then discusses the various ways people use the sun to help them grow their own food.

Chapter two covers the basics of gardening and how to start off with a small plot of land. She shows how to choose the best location for your garden and where to place your plants. She explains how to prepare the soil and how to get started planting seeds. She also gives tips on choosing the right type of seed and how to care for them once they germinate.

In Chapter three she talks about composting and how it is important to recycle materials that would otherwise end up in the landfill. She explains how composting works and how it helps keep the environment clean. She also mentions some of the dangers of using chemicals in your garden and how to avoid them.

Chapter four covers the topic of water and how it is necessary for the survival of plants. She explains how the amount of water you give your plants affects the size of your harvest. She also talks about the importance of watering and how to do it correctly. She gives advice on how to deal with drought conditions and how to prevent them from happening again.

Chapter five is about pest control and how to protect your plants from insects and disease. She tells you how to identify bugs and how to kill them if you find them. She also shares information on how to make natural pesticides and how to keep your plants safe.

Chapter six covers the topic of weeds and how to manage them effectively. She explains how to spot unwanted plants and how to remove them without harming your plants. She also teaches you how to eliminate weeds completely.

Chapter seven is about harvesting and storing your crops. She explains how to store your fruits and vegetables properly so they last longer. She also shares information about freezing and preserving your harvests.

This book is not only informative but it is also entertaining. The author writes in a way that makes you want to learn more. Her style of writing is unique and engaging. You will feel like you are sitting down with a friend who wants to share her knowledge with you.
