Book Review:

Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney so I', taking a bit of air and maybe see a few birds as well Hi I've taken a breather, I'm sitting here I've got this salt marsh that side and the reserve this side

so I thought I'll just give you a quick talk about the book I've just read and it's from Netgalley and it's Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney and comes out in August and it's the sort of thriller that I enjoy.

You've got a family on an island and they can't get out and murders are happening, so you've got Nana, who's Beatrice Darker, she's a celebrated author and she wrote Daisy Darker's, Daisy Darker's Little Secret.

She invites on her 80th birthday, which is Halloween, her whole family to celebrate with her to this island and this island can only be accessed by a causeway which is only accessible in low tide, so the whole family arrives, her son Frank, his divorced wife Nancy their children Rose, Lily and Daisy.

Daisy is the youngest of the daughters and she was born with a broken heart, she's died several times and she's had surgery many times as well. Also at this party there is Trixie

who's Lily's daughter and Connor who's a family friend who grew up with the girls so they have this family party during which Nana reads her will and at the stroke of midnight a scream is heard and we have murder

number one and no one, they can't call the police, they can't go anywhere because the causeway is flooded and they are trapped in this house and they know that there's a murder and who did it and then the clock ticks on

because each chapter is seven minutes to low tide, six, five four, it's counting down to low tide and then at one o'clock there's a second murder and so it continues and all the way through

I kept thinking maybe that one was doing it only to find they they were the next one that was dead. The reveal and the twist I wasn't expecting and it was only when I went back and flipped through it I realized that I'd missed all these clues along the way so I'll never make a detective maybe you guys will make a better job of it than me

but I really enjoyed it, it's the sort of thriller if you like the idea of some very claustrophobic thriller where everybody's trapped and no one can get out and one of them is committing the murder almost like Agatha Christie's Then There Were None then pick this up.

 THANK YOU SO MUCH
