Book Review:

The Girl He Used to Know by Tracey Garvis Graves this book was all over Instagram last year I mean it was like everywhere I finally got to read it this month

I really really liked it I gave it a 7 out of 10 on my ratings so I usually do my ratings out of 10 one being obviously the worst and ten being pretty awesome and I gave it a 7 and the reason why I gave it a 7 is because it's not the kind of book that I was like I would rave over

I didn't like love it head over heels fall in love with it but it was a really good book and I enjoyed reading it so which is why I gave it a 7 it follows two characters Anika Rose and Jonathan

I remember his last name and it's told from two points of views so it's told from Anika's point of view and is told from Jonathan's point of view so Anika is a very very very special person

She's really weird she doesn't like being around human beings and people and she's very very just an interesting person so surely she doesn't really know how to interact with people and she prefers the company of animals and books and she likes books

so much that she became a librarian and goes on to do that for a career now Anika met Jonathan in college and they fell in love as you do and Jonathan was Anika's first love and obviously had a very deep bond which we get to find out about in the book and then what happens

In the book is that years later Jonathan and Anika bump into each other in the grocery store and Anika is really nervous because she's not sure if Jonathan will even want to speak to her after what she did to him so the story basically tells us what happened between Jonathan and Anika

It's told over two time periods which is 1991 when they were both in college and how they met and then it's told from another time later on in life when after they've bumped into each other and it's in 2001 and they're both living in Chicago

So we get to follow them and we need to stand in relationship and understand what happened with him so when I first started reading it out actually really hated Anika like I hated her I've heard a really annoying but there is a reason why she is the way she is so they do explain that in the book and towards the end

I actually really liked her bio Anika's actually kind of cool so it's got a very interesting sort of twist in the book that I wasn't expecting and definitely make sure you read it till the end because I was completely taken back by the end

I was not expecting that little plot twist to happen in the end and I had to stay up till like 1:00 a.m. in the morning to finish it because it was that good like it was a gripping weed for the last few chapters

I really liked the ending I really liked the book so it's definitely worth a read and stick with it because there were times in the middle I was just sort of like oh and then it sort of got to the end and walking off is actually really good and it's definitely worth the grip at the end

so I'm not gonna spoil it for you obviously but it is definitely worth a read I really enjoyed it it's a good book you can read this in one sitting it's one of those books that you just like whiz right through or you can read and like two to three days

I read it in three days and I really enjoyed it it was a good book so definitely recommend reading this if you're in the mood for just a nice easy read the genre is romance

so it's contemporary literature and romance and yeah great book yes seven out of ten make sure you check out my review below if you do want to read the review I do have a full review on Chris's books calm as well and because I like music so much.
